The Unfulfilled Dream

"Mummy, Mummy see bhaiya is back." shouted Anita as her brother approached home.

"How are you my son? I missed you so much! Last time we saw you was 4 years back. You have changed a lot. So, congrats. You are now an I.I.T. graduate." said a very proud father, Mahesh.

"No dad. I have not changed at all. I am the same Amit you saw 4 years back. But you all have changed a lot. Do you take your medicines regularly? You don't seem to be fit. And where is mom? I missed you all like hell!"

Amit's mother Deepti came running for her son, "First of all congratulation to you. You really made us proud. I always knew that this day will surely come one day and today that day has come. Today is our day to celebrate. Now all our problems will be solved son."

"Yes mom. From today we all can be happy and surely our problems will get solved. I know that you have managed the money for my studies very painfully. I won't let your hard earned money go wasted. I have got an appointment letter from the Reliance. I have got the job and they will pay me Rs. 30,000 per month. But, today I will have to stay in an hotel. I think The Taj Hotel is nice." said Amit.

Mahesh gave a worried look. watching him Amit asked him, "What happened dad? You didn't liked my job? Aren't you happy?"

"No, son. How can't I be happy. I am the happiest father in the world and its all because of you. But, I am worried because of the fights going on between Hindus and the Muslims. Have you heard the case of the Barbi Mosque demolition?" asked Mahesh.

"Yes, father. It is really surprising that how people people divide themselves on the basis of caste. But, you don't worry at all. Nothing will happen to me. My taxi will come in few minutes. You all don't take tension at all." explained Amit and started getting ready.

After 1 hour the Taxi came and Amit waved Goodbye to his parents and left for Taj Hotel.

Amit reached The Taj Hotel safely. He took his keys from the reception and headed for towards his room. Time passed away and the time was around 9:50 pm. Amit was picked up his mobile and thought of calling his parents. He dialed the number and his mother picked the phone up.

"Hello mom. Everything is fine at home? What is Anita doing?" asked Amit

"She is watching the television. How are you son? Everything is fine over There? We all are really missing you. When are you coming back?" asked a worried mother, Deepti.

"Don't worry mom. I will reach home tomorrow at........"

A very loud sound of blasting of a bomb was heard. Some people threw hand grenade at the Hotel. Everywhere the people started shouting and the fire alarm bell starting ringing very loudly.

"What happened Amit.....can you hear me son........don't worry we are coming......." panicked Deepti.

A black uniformed man came inside Amit's room.

"What you all are doing? This is not right! What will you all get after killing innocent people?" shouted Amit.

The man grabbed Amit and said,"You Indians have always torchered the Pakistanis. Now, I will not leave a single Indian alive." after he finished his sentence he took his knife out. In a second he pierced his knife in Amit's body. Blood ran from Amit's body. He fell on the floor. While taking his last breathes, he remembered his family. He prayed to god and his last wish was that his family lived happily. But, how can a family remain happy after their son leave them alone. Amit's family rushed to the Taj Hotel. They prayed that their son remained safe.

After an hour's struggle, all the dead bodies were brought to the street. There was sadness everywhere. The thing you can hear was the crying of people. Amit's body was brought down. Seeing this terrified scene, his whole family almost lost their conscious. Everyone started crying. Amit's mother couldn't even believe her eyes. In a moment she was admitted. The doctors said she had a heart attack.

After spending lots of money Deepti was saved but they lost their most precious person. This was an example of Amit who lost his life in the Mumbai Attack on 29/11/08. There were almost 173 people killed and almost 308 people injured. But, at last one question remained un-answered that is dividing people on the basis of their caste a good thing? If we really read every caste's principles, we would find that most of them would be the same. So, at last I would like to end by saying that, Terrorism is the most dangerous thing in the world and it can be removed totally if we all can consider us ONE.

Famous Five : Five have a visit to India ( Part 22 )

Characters:
Julian, George ( Georgina ), Dick, Anne and their dog Timmy.

We all must have read many stories of the Famous Five. We all know that there are only 21 parts of the Famous Five but this 22nd part is written by me. Hope you all will enjoy reading it.

This incident happened to them when Julian, Dick, George, Anne were in the college. They all became very famous in their locality for their adventures and the mysteries which they solved. This time they visited to India for a break till they fall into another adventure again.......

After their exams they decided to go on a trip again, but this trip would not be in their country but in abroad. They all became confused where to go just then Julian said, "I have a brilliant idea, why shouldn't we visit to India this time?." They all listened to Julian's idea and agreed to it. At night in the hostel they all sat on the bed with Timmy beside George, and were planning where to go in India. Suddenly Dick suggested, " In my opinion why shouldn't we visit to a famous museum of India?." Suddenly George said, " Yes, good idea. I know a very famous museum of India. Its name is Indian Museum of Kolkata. We should go there." They all became very excited and agreed. Timmy also barked which showed that he was also ready for another trip.

On a cold winter morning they all left for India. After two days they reached Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi. From there they took another plane and reached Kolkata in the evening. That day they rested in a hotel and the next morning at 10:00 am they all went to the museum with Timmy behind George and wagging his tail. They started watching different antiques, precious stones of the kings, old statues, maps etc. Suddenly Dick saw a small golden statue of Lord Buddha. Dick immediately called the others and said, "See this statue of Lord Buddha. It is written that he was a very great person and started a new religion called Buddhism. He was a son of a king named Suddhoddana and first his name was Siddhartha. Then he left his palace and later he married to Yasodhara." The Five looked at the statue with full concentration and read about lord Buddha with full interest. After watching the whole museum they returned to the hotel at about 8:30 pm. Then they had their dinner and went to sleep.

The next day Anne woke up first and took the newspaper which was at the door. Next she opened the newspaper and started reading it. To her horror the next moment she read "Famous statue of Lord Buddha stolen from Indian Museum." After reading that line she got surprised and woke everyone and showed the news to everyone. After reading the news the others also got surprised. They immediately got dressed up and rushed towards The Indian Museum. They reached there at 9:30 am. The first sight they saw was a large crowd was gathered at the entrance. When they reached the entrance they asked the security guard that how the statue was stolen. The guard replied, "Sir, yesterday at 10:30 I went for my dinner with the other guards. After having our food we came back to the museum we saw that the lock at the door was open but we were surprised because the key of the lock was with one of the security guards. After that we went inside the museum and saw that everything was there except the idle of Lord Buddha." After listening to the guard the gang became more confused. After that Dick asked the guard, " Sorry to disturb again but can you tell me with whom the keys of the museum were?" The guard replied, " Sir, the keys were with Ram Singh, but he kept the keys on the table. It was in front of us when we were having our Dinner." After hearing this they all rushed to Ram Singh. Ram Singh was a very strong and angry man. When they came to Ram Singh he was in a very bad mood. Then Dick asked him, " Excuse me, are you Ram Singh?" Ram Singh replied in a angry voice, "Yes, what do you want?" Dick replied, " I am Dick and I have come from USA. Yesterday we saw the idol of Buddha and now it is stolen, can you give us any information?" Ram Singh got very angry and shouted, " Oh, you children think I have stolen the statue and asking questions like the police. Go away from here before I do anything." Hearing this the children got scared and ran from there. At night, after having their meal, they sat on the bed talking about the matter. George said, " I think this Ram Singh has a hand in stealing the statue." Then Julian replied, " Yes, I too think There is something fishy with Ram Singh. I have an idea, why don't we go to the museum and see what all is going on now there secretly." They all agreed and proceeded towards the museum.

They reached the museum nearly at 11:15 pm. There they saw that all the guards were sitting except Ram Singh. They saw that all the guards were chatting with each other. The five got a doubt in their minds and started looking nearby. They could not find Ram Singh and gave up at last. When they were returning back they saw Ram Singh talking to a man. They slowly went near them and tried to hear them. They heard Ram Singh saying in an angry voice, " Where is my money. You said if I would give the keys of the museum to you for making the duplicate keys, you would give me 20% of the money you will get after selling it." They man replied, " I will give you your money till tomorrow because I have not melted the statue of Buddha and sold the gold. Tomorrow you meet me at 12:00 noon near Victoria Memorial, I will give your money there."

The children got stunned after hearing this news. The next day they all got up at 9:00 am and went to the Police Station. They informed the whole matter to the Police and Ram Singh and the other man got arrested. The Five became very happy because the statue was once again founded and kept in the museum. They were also awarded for their help in finding the idol and became very famous.
